Damaris is a Registered Architect with over 10 years of diverse experience in and around New York City. She’s benefitted immensely, both personally and professionally, from her upbringing in New York City with her first studies in Interior Design at FIT at the age of 13 and her first studies in Architecture at the High School of Art and Design shortly after. She went on to recieve a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Howard University, where she also studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain, and a Master’s Degree in Design Management from Pratt Institute.
Since entering the professional workforce, she has been a major contributer and/or project lead on a wide variety of project types and scales from single bathroom renovations up to major new construction (see notable projects below). She bolstered this experience by briefly working in tech and construction, learning the ins and outs of the industry from multiple angles and quickly emerging as a leader during her time at Think Wilder Architecture and Agencie Architecture and Engineering.
With this, she is uniquely positioned to provide expertise that is both grounded in the technical traditions of the profession while also naturally embracing new ways of thinking that are more inclusive, accessible, and ever-evolving. She has proven herself an adept manager of projects, teams, and clients, while always bringing a warm, positive and productive vibe that keeps things flowing smoothly.
She is a proud dog-mom, music-lover, amatuer chef and general enjoyer of all forms of light-hearted sophistication.
